Our Philosophy

La Casa di Aldo is a Nordic retreat in the hills of Piemonte. A new house raised on old stone — the original walls of the rustico, rebuilt by hand — holding an unmistakably Piedmontese warmth against the calm of Nordic minimalism.

Evening fire at La Casa di Aldo

La Casa di Aldo sits on a hilltop in Prasco, in the Alto Monferrato hills of Piemonte — about one hour from Turin and Genoa airports, two from Milan. The house is reached by car; the final climb is a steep, rough track, so a car with good ground clearance is an advantage. Detailed directions and a welcome guide follow your confirmed booking.

The rental is the exclusive use of the whole property: four bedrooms sleeping eight, four bathrooms (two ensuite), a fully equipped kitchen, the terrace and garden, the pool in season, and the wood-fired sauna and hot tub. Weekly housekeeping is included. Optional services — private chef, sommelier evenings, local guides — can be arranged on request.

La Casa di Aldo is available for a minimum of seven nights. Longer stays and off-season arrangements are warmly welcomed — please reach out directly to discuss what suits your travel.

Yes. We work with trusted local partners to offer wine tastings at nearby cantinas, truffle hunting in season, hands-on cooking lessons, visits to the Langhe and Barolo hills, and private day trips to Asti and Alessandria. Each experience is curated to feel unhurried and authentic.

The house warmly welcomes families. The garden and outdoor spaces are well-suited for children. We ask guests to supervise carefully around the pool area, which has no safety barrier — a removable fence can be installed on request.
